Critical Infrastructure
The chemical industry represents one of 18 sectors designated by the U.S. government as being critical infrastructure. While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has directed a significant amount of their time and resources to the development and enforcement of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), there certainly have been a number of initiatives and programs that apply to the other sectors. Huffmaster’s Regulatory Compliance Consulting services and Infrastructure Protection Officer program extend to facilities faced with other voluntary (e.g., Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism/C-TPAT) or regulatory requirements (e.g., Maritime Transportation Safety Act/MTSA). If your business falls within one of these areas and you have concerns with your current level of critical infrastructure protection, give us a call for an in-depth consultation.
